Charles Tupper

The quince tree of Japan ( Chaenomeles japonica in the past Cydonia japonica ) is a plant of the rosacée family of the S which one meets, at the natural state, primarily with the Japan.

This shrub which flowers between February and April (before the appearance of the foliage) has very pretty flowers of white, pink or red color.

In Japanese, this plant says karin (花梨 results in “Poirier with flowers”).

Use

It is before a a whole plant of ornament. Nevertheless, the fruits are edible when they are cooked, used in Confiture or in Liqueur.
