The central matter of Gersonide is found here in all its clearness: to know the world requires, at the same time, the practice of the reasoning and recourse to the experiment. Three centuries before Rene Descartes, Gersonide provides the foundations of what was to become the methodological base of the modern scientific reflection.

  • Prophets, talmudists, philosophical . appeared into 1990 with the editions of the Stag. This book gathers a series of studies of great quality on the prophets, the rabbinical literature, the questions of Talmud and about philosophers such as Moïse Maïmonide, Averroès or Hasdaï Crescas. Thirty year old fruit of research, the work was crowned by the Academy of Science morals and political.

  • the Kuzari, Apology for the scorned religion . (introduction, annotation and translation of Arabic since the original text of Juda Halevi) appeared into 1994 with the Verdier editions.
