Charles Semser

Charles Semser is an American sculptor born in 1922 in Philadelphia the United States, alive in France.

Studies with the academy of the Art schools of Philadelphia and with the Barnes Foundation.

In 1949, with a grant of painter, Semser arrives at Paris and settles there.

The sculptures of Charles Semser are carried out starting from two techniques: reinforced concrete coloured in the mass and the enamelled sandstone. Charles Semser, with traver his coloured figurative sculptures, described with humor and causticity a caricatural universe, ours.
