The writer

And it is into 1965 that its principal work Testimony leaves: The Units-States 1885-1890 . This work is built starting from files of courts of the end of the XIXème century. This work precisely characterizes what is the poetic objectivism. Such as he explains it in a maintenance with the Revue Europe in 1977: " In Testimony, the protagonists of which I use the remarks testify all to what they really lived. (...) What me I wanted to make, it is by carrying out a choice, to carry out an assembly, by rythmant the words which they employed, and to thus create a state of heart or a sentiment".In 1975, it publishes Holocauste, which takes again the same process, but this time starting from the files of the Procès of the criminals in front of the Military Tribunal of Nuremberg .
It belongs to the poets who in the Thirties in the United States, and under the sponsorship of William Carlos Williams and Ezra Pound, constituted the movement “Objectiviste” with Louis Zukofsky, George Oppen, Carl Rakosi and Basil Bunting.
