Charles Rene Girard de Villars

Charles Rene Girard de Villars is a Naturaliste French, born on October 19th 1698 with Luçon (or Mouchamps?) and dead the March 5th 1769 in this same city.

It makes studies of Médecine and exerts with Chantonnay 1733 with 1741. To advise of the King, doctor of medicine, graduated universities of Montpellier and Angers, incorporated with the royal College of the doctors of the La Rochelle, professor of anatomy and surgery to that the college; he then becomes member of the Academy of the humanities, sciences and arts of the La Rochelle, whose he ensures the vice-presidency in 1744 and the presidency in 1746. He becomes, in 1747, correspondent of the Academy of Science near Rene-Antoine Ferchault de Réaumur (1683-1757) then, with died of this last of Antoine de Jussieu (1686-1758).
