Charles Marie of Wurtemberg , born the 1936, duke of Wurtemberg

Charles Marie of Wurtemberg married the July 18th 1960 the princess Diane of Orleans (1940), girl of Henri of Orleans (1908-1999), count de Paris, and of his wife the free-Brazilian princess Isabelle of Orleans and Bragance.

Six children were born from this union:

  • Frederic Philippe of Wurtemberg (1961), hereditary prince of Wurtemberg, which marries in 1993 the princess Marie de Wied (1973) from where: Guillaume (1994), Marie-Amélie (1996) and Sophie-Dorothée (1997).

  • Mathilde of Wurtemberg (1962), which marries the count Erich de Waldburg-Zeil (1962), from where posterity.

  • Eberhard Qualities of Wurtemberg (1963).
  • Philippe Albert of Wurtemberg (1964), which marries in 1991 Marie-Caroline de Wittelsbach, duchess in Bavaria, from where Sophie (1994) and Pauline (1997).

  • Michel Henri of Wurtemberg (1965).

  • Éléonore Fleur of Wurtemberg (1977).

Charles Marie of Wurtemberg is current the Claiming with the throne of Wurtemberg, it belongs to the fifth branch (known as ducal line) of the Maison of Wurtemberg. With the extinction of the elder branch in 1921, with died of Guillaume II of Wurtemberg, the ducal line became the new branch dynaste of the House of Wurtemberg. Nevertheless, the new elder branch was the morganatic branch of the Teak dukes (extinct in the males in 1981), then the morganatic branch of the dukes of Urach. Currently, the elder one of all the House of Wurtemberg east Charles-Anselme, duke of Urach, born in 1955.
