Charles Magnin
Charles Magnin , born the November 4th 1793 in Paris - died the October 8th 1862 in Paris, is a French writer and journalist.
He is pupil with Holy-Bores, then with the Lycée Napoleon. Employed with the Royal Library, he writes some comedies of which one will be represented with the Odéon. He enters to the newspaper the Earth in 1824, of which he becomes shareholder in 1826. He wrote there many article devoteds to with the literature and the théâtre.
When the Earth ceased appearing in 1831, he transferred his theatrical chronicle to the National and collaborated in the the Review of the Two Worlds and in the Journal of the scientists . In 1832, it was named preserving Royal Library, then elected in 1838 with the Académie of the inscriptions and the humanities.
Professor at the University, it will give courses to it on the history of the theater.
