Charles Leon

Charles Leon , born in 1806 and died in 1881, is the first wire naturalness of Napoleon Bonaparte.

His wife Joséphine de Beauharnais having had two children of its first marriage, Napoleon believed that it was sterile until the day when following of its wife, Catherine Éléonore Denuelle of Plaigne, gave him a son: Charles Leon. Thus Napoleon decided to repudiate his wife to found a dynasty.

Contrary to his half-brother Alexandre Walewski, wire of Marie Waleska (the “Polish wife” of Napoleon i), which did not like to be praised of its imperial parent, the count Leon did not fail to point out who he was the son, which one cannot question within sight of his very great resemblance to the Emperor (his/her mother having been also the mistress of Murat). After an animated life, the count Leon Maria in 1862 with Francoise Jonet, 25 years its junior. Six children were born from this union:

  3. Gaston (1857-1934) 3rd count Leon, groom, six children of which: Gaston (1886-1976), 4th count Leon, and Charles (1911-1995), 5th and last count Leon
  4. Fernand (1861-1918)
  5. Charlotte (January 17th, 1867 - 1946). It is 14 years old when his/her father dies. Courageous, she studies and becomes teacher. Named in Boghari in Algeria, she works there during ten years. August 3rd, 1895, she marries Armand Mesnard. The couple returns to France at the end of 1895 and Charlotte is named teacher with Sérignan. It is there that is born his/her son, on August 25th, 1896, under the first names of Daniel Napoleon Jean Fernand. This last died for the France, at the 21 years age, the Fort of Pompelle, close to Rheims, on July 17th, 1917. It is buried in the vault of the Denuelle families of Plaigne and Leon to the Cimetière of the Father-Lachaise in Paris.
