Charles Labitte

Charles Labitte is a historian and critical French born with Castle-Thierry the December 2nd 1816 and died in Paris the September 19th 1845.

Charles Labitte began since 1835 in the Review from the Two Worlds . Responsible for a course of history to the colleges Charlemagne and Henri-Iv, it was named in 1840 professor of foreign literature to the faculty of Rennes and was chosen in 1842 to compensate Pierre-François Tissot in his pulpit of literature for the Collège de France. He died prematurely in 29 years.
