" Lambeaux" , autobiographical work, learns some to us much on the personality from Charles Juliet; he sees himself like a beginner, since he names the " néophyte" in a passage of the novel or it reflects on the difficulties which it encounters at the time of the writing. It is:

  • demanding in its work,
  • perfectionist because it always needs to better do,
  • persevering: the obstacles do not frighten him; it does not stop with the difficulties.
  • anxious
  • because it states a difficulty of writing: the fear of the white page, it tests an absence of creation and of productivity besides, its attitudes and feelings translate this difficulty, anything does not interest it, idea of saturation, dislike.
Moreover, one tough need for writing the enjoint to continue. However, Juliet tends to be underestimated; it is devalued and minimized because according to him, it has " a requirement too much haute" who involves it to doubt his own means and capacities. It does not rely on him, in its talent, feels lower than the writers than it admires. In his book, Charles Juliet analyzes in an honest way, makes us reflect on the difficulties of writing in general and also brings a reflection on the autobiography: difficulties in expressing with words what one feels and the recall of sometimes painful memories.
