Charles Joret
Charles Joret , born the October 14th 1839 with Formigny (Apple-brandy), and dead the December 27th 1914 in Paris, is a scholar and Philologue French.
Specialist in Literature, Charles Joret was professor of literature to the Faculty of Arts of Aix-en-Provence. He was named member of the Académie of Caen the July 29th 1887. He was also member of the Institut of France.
Today the name of Charles Joret remains primarily associated with the Ligne Joret, a line going of Avranches to Vernon dividing the Norman dialect between Norman septentrional and Normand Southerner which is distinguished in particular with regard to palatalization from the C and of the G .
