Charles Ier de Bourbon
Charles 1st of Bourbon , born in 1401, dead on December 4th, 1456 with the castle of Mills, is duke of Bourbon and of Auvergne of 1434 with 1456.
Biography
Charles Ier de Bourbon is wire of Jean {{Ier}}, duke of Bourbon, and Marie de Berry, duchess of Auvergne and countess of Montpensier.
Initially, count de Clermont, it has to manage the fields of his/her father after this one was done prisoner with Azincourt. The fifteen years age, it chairs the council of regency, but, after the fall of the Armagnacs in 1418, it must be subjected to Jean without Peur, duke of Burgundy, from which it marries the girl. It is named governor of the Languedoc in 1421, where it makes some campaigns against the count de Foix, then is in 1423 general commander of the Lyonnais. It carries out a convoy of help towards the town of Orleans, but which fails (Journée of the Herrings). After the delivery of Orleans by Jeanne d' Arc, it fights the English, but is badly supported by Charles {{VII}}, so that Charles 1st withdraws itself in Bourbonnais. He manages to persuade his brother-in-law Philippe {{III}} of Burgundy to release alliance with the English to approach king de France.
Become duke of Bourbon with died of his father (1434), he is a prince dissatisfied with the royal capacity and supports the revolts of the dolphin. In 1434, it becomes Grand chambrier of France. He dies in 1456.
July 19th, 1412, he would have married in first weddings Anne de Dreux (born in 1409, died before 1415), not consumed union.

- Marguerite (1438-1483), married in 1472 with Philippe (1438-1497), duke of Savoy (Philippe without Ground )
- Pierre {{II}} (1438-1503), lord de Beaujeu, then duke of Bourbon (1488)
- Catherine (v. 1440-1469), married in 1463 with Adolphe d' Egmont (1438-1477), duke of Gueldre
- Jacques de Bourbon (v. 1443-1468)
- Jeanne (dead without posterity in 1483), married in 1467 with Jean {{IV}} of Trawl-net (1443-1502), prince d' Orange.
