Charles Hindenayer
Charles Hindermeyer (born with Épinal the June 22nd 1864 -?). After its studies in Architecture in Paris, it settles in 1893 with Remiremont (88).
It sets up many private and public buildings, not only in the district of Remiremont, but also in all the area. It did not complete to build the college of girls " Tertre" that this one is requisitioned like military hospital as of the beginning of the conflicts.
Later, it is brought to build the monuments of several communes of our valleys: the Bresse, Cornimont, the Fresse-on-Moselle, Ramonchamp, the Rupt-on-Moselle, the Trade union and Ventron. Three works are carried out in collaboration with his/her son-in-law the artist Clément Serveau. As information, among works of Hindermeyer, let us quote: the school complex of the Valley of Ajol, the school of Cornimont, the inter-commune old people's home of Thillot, the post office of Remiremont, " houses collectives" Champ de Mars, the hotels Métropoleà Plombières (renamed the Park) and Luxeuil; working houses with Eloyes, Hielle and many villas and houses with Epinal (house Knight become the seat of the General advice of the Vosges), Remiremont, Saint-Maurice, Saint-Nabord, Ferdrupt, Nol.
