Charles Green

Charles Green (born in 1735 in the Yorkshire, died with Jakarta the January 29th 1771), was an English astronomer and pioneer.
Wire of a farmer, it was named assisting in 1761 Astronomer Royal of Greenwich. For this reason he travelled to the Barbades of 1763 to 1764, then entered the navy and accompanied Cook on the '' Endeavor '' to study the Transit of Venus in front of the Sun the June 3rd 1769 with Tahiti.
He died of the fevers with Batavia (now Djakarta) the January 29th 1771.
