Charles Gervais
Charles Gervais , born in 1830 and deceased in 1892, was a business man Parisian which founded the Fromageries Gervais, amalgamated in 1967 with the company Danone, manufacturer of Yaourt and belonging to the group Agro-alimentaire French Danone since 1973 (ex BSN).
It developed the manufacture of the cheeses " Small Switzerland " , in agreement with Mrs Hérould , farm of the Country of Bray in Normandy with Villers-on-Auchy which was holder of the trade secret of these small soft white cheeses. Starting from their association, the first factory Gervais was born with Tool bag-in-Bray.
