Charles Frederic Gerhardt

Charles Frederic Gerhardt (August 21st 1816 - August 19th 1856) born and died in Strasbourg, was a Alsatian Chimiste . At the beginning of the 19th century, one manufactured the Salicylate , a substance which made it possible to fight against the Fièvre S and pains starting from the bark of Saule.

In 1853, Charles Frederic Gerhardt makes a success of the first synthesis of the Molécule basic of the aspirine , the Acetylsalicylic acid , near to the current Médicament and substitute more economic to produce salicylate.
