Charles Fox Burney
Charles Fox Burney , is a Théologien and Bibliste Anglican, born the November 4th 1868 and deceased the April 15th 1925.
Biographical elements
It is ordered in 1893. It passed its whole career to Oxford as a Hebrew lecturer in (1893-1897), librarian of university (1897-1908) and professor of interpretation of the Scriptures (1914-1925). It was a remarkable authority on the Semitic languages and one of the most original thinkers among disciples of its generation. Burney stressed the importance to recognize a base araméenne subjacent with the language of the Gospels of New Testament.
