Charles Esprit Marie of Bourdonnaye
Charles Esprit Marie of Bourdonnaye de Blossac (born on August 27th, 1753 with Poitiers and deceased on May 22nd, 1840 with Arcy-on-Yonne) was a French politician, member of the Chambre of the pars under the Restauration.
He is the son of Paul Esprit Marie of Bourdonnaye of Blossac (1716-1800) and Madeleine Louise Peltier of Houssaye (1723-1764).
Named Intendant of Soissons with his father in 1784, it preserves this function until the French revolution in 1789 during which it emigrates with his family in England.
Of return to the Restoration, it is made Pair France by ordinance of August 17th, 1815. He votes the death of the Maréchal Ney and supports the royal government on any occasion. He speaks in March 1826 with the Chambre of the pars to support the " bill of the successions" who restores the Droit of seniority.
After the Revolution of 1830, it withdraws national political life.
He is also count de Blossac and Conseiller State.
