Charles Eblé

Charles Eblé (Paris December 8th 1799 - Paris December 20th 1870), is a French general of the Second Empire, which in particular ordered the Polytechnic school, before being an general inspector of the Artillerie.
Biography
Born in 1799, Charles Eblé is a nephew of the general Eblé, hero of the Bérézina, of which he will inherit the title of Count by imperial decree in 1867.
Entered with the Polytechnic school in 1818, left 3rd in 1820, it chooses the Artillerie, and integrates the school of application of Metz. Artillery second lieutenant in 1823, he becomes lieutenant in 1825.
Charles Eblé takes part in the first countryside of Algérie and is then named captain in 1830. He is captain in first in 1837. Major in 1843, it becomes in 1848 lieutenant-colonel, section head of the personnel to the Ministère of the war.
Colonel in 1850, he is director of artillery in Metz in 1851.
Charles Eblé is named Brigadier general in 1854, and ordering Polytechnic school of 1854 with 1860.
Named then Major general in 1860, he is member of the committee of artillery, and general inspector of artillery.
He passes to the framework of reserve in 1864 and dies in 1870.
He was Grand Officer of the Legion of Honor.
