Charles Dobzynski
Charles Dobzynski is a writer and French poet, born in 1929 with Warsaw. He is Chevalier of Arts & Lettres, editor association of the Europe review, member of the Academy Mallarmé and chair of the jury of the price Apollinaire.
Biography
He is born in Poland, but its family emigrates in France, when he is hardly one year old. It escaped of accuracy to the deportation during the Second world war, but its family must hide. His/her mother incites it with the very young reading. It directs a time a company of textile.
Early poet, it publishes its first poem in 1944 in a newspaper of young people resulting from the Résistance. End 1949, Paul Éluard presents his first poems in the French Lettres . On proposal of Aragon it enters to the drafting of the daily newspaper This evening . Aragon and Elsa Triolet will preface two of its collections. Its work is impregnated by its three passions: the Astronautics, the Cinema and the Poetry.
It is those which counted with the French Letters and poetic Action, it collaborated in many other reviews, translated Rainer Maria Rilke. He becomes editor association of the Europe review in 1952. It cotoie also Tristan Tzara and the Lettrisme ( Groupe Lettriste ) of which he is excluded because he wrote a poem not-in conformity with the guns dictated by Isidore Isou.
He carries on also a long time the activity of journalist and Film critic.
Its “Anthology of Poetry Yiddish” was an unhoped-for success, exceeding in its three editions them: 20000 specimens.
Charles Dobzynski sees itself allotting in 2006 the Bourse Goncourt of poetry for the whole of his work.
