Charles Dixon
Charles Dixon is a British ornithologist , born in 1858 with London and died in 1926.
He collaborates with Henry Seebohm (1832-1895) in his great work British Birds , in the second volume, he presents and modifies the theory of Alfred Russel Wallace (1823-1913) on the color of the birds and the nests. Dixon studies in particular the Migration S of the Oiseaux which it off presents in its book The Migration Birds (new edition, 1897), clever but theoretical work. It is also interested in the geographical distribution of the birds.
H. Seebohm dedicates the to him Grive of Dixon ( Zoothera dixoni ) in 1881.
