Charles Diehl
Charles Diehl , born the January 19th 1859 with Strasbourg and dead on November 1st 1944 with Paris, was a Historien French, specialist in the Byzantine Empire.
Raise National university, member of the French École of Rome (1881-1883) and French École of Athens, he was professor of Byzantine history to the Sorbonne. It also became, in 1910, member of the Académie of the inscriptions and the humanities.
Its heritage was collected by its pupil Louis Bréhier (1868-1951).
