Charles Delporte

Charles Delporte (born in 1928 with Marcinelle) is a painter and Belgian Sculpteur.

Its works are exposed in the museums, foundations, churches and cities throughout the world. A museum is devoted to him to Damme (close to Bruges).

Also poet and musician, it recorded several SP like " Ballade of the souvenir" , " Homage to Picasso" (85), " Delporte sings Verlaine" (86) or " In the middle of Charleroi" (2005).

He is the older brother of the teacher and poet Jacques Viesvil as well as song writer and performer Paul Louka.

Several of its monumental sculptures were set up in various roundabouts of Wallonia (Walloon cocks in Charleroi, triples head of woman with Gilly
