Charles Dantzig

Charles Dantzig is a writer and French essay writer, born on October 7th, 1968.

It was born in a family from professors from medicine. The vat out of pocket, at just 17 years, it prefers to follow studies of right rather than to follow the family tradition, and more still the sovereign way of hypokhâgne, where it was however allowed.

It obtains its doctorate in Toulouse with for subject: “Freedoms of the air”. It is not a question of the title of a collection of poetry, as one could think it, but of a study on the rights of traffic which the States grant to the airline companies. Once graduate, Dantzig decides to go up to Paris. A few years later and at only 28 years, its test on Remy de Gourmont appears, at the same time as its first collection of poetries, the driver is always alone .

He becomes editor at Grasset.

Charles Dantzig is also the author of several novels, of which Our hasty lives (2001, Prix Jean Freustié and Prix Roger Nimier) and a film of love (2003), of a poetic work collected in In remembering long-distance the and tests like the war of the stereotype (1998). He is also the author of the translations of a vegetable , the play of Francis Scott Fitzgerald, and of Aristote per hour of the , first French edition of the chronicles of Oscar Wilde. In 2005, it publishes its egoistic Dictionnaire of the French literature , prize winner of the price December, which enables him to better expose its esthetic vision of the literature. It also received on May 29th, 2006 the price of the readers of It .
