Charles Buttner
Charles Buttner is a Alsatian Politician member of the UMP. Until October 2007, he was member of the UDF.
He is elected president of the general advice Haut-Rhin in 2004 and is also mayor of Riedisheim and chair Communauté of Communes of the Hills.
Charles Buttner is member of the committee of patronage of the Carolus Forum, think European tank in Strasbourg initiated by François Loos and Adrien Zeller at the end of 2004. He exerts as a headmaster of college while making of the policy. Charles Buttner is in favor credit and effective bilingualism in Alsace which he does not regard only as one cultural stake, but also economic.
After the first turn of the presidential elections of 2007, it joins “ without ambiguity ” with the project of Nicolas Sarkozy of which it wishes to join the majority at the conclusion of the legislative elections. At the time of these last, it will be however constant neither by the UDF nor by the UMP, these two parties having invested other candidates in the Fourth district of Haut-Rhin.
