Charles Bonaparte

Carlo Maria Buonaparte francized in Charles Marie Bonaparte , born with Ajaccio the March 29th 1746; died the February 24th 1785 with Montpellier, assessor (judge) with the jurisdiction of Ajaccio. He is the father of the emperor Napoleon {{Ier}}.
Its education had been neat with Rome and Pisa, where he had studied jurisprudence.
Following the death of his/her father in 1763, it is placed under the supervision of an uncle paternal, named Lucien Bonaparte and exerting the function of Archidiacre.
He marries Maria Letizia Ramolino in 1764. She is then fourteen years old, while has eighteen of them to him.
One saw it fighting, in the war that it had contributed to light against Génois, oppressors of his country; also he was appreciated of Paoli, estimated his compatriots.
It is him which, with consults extraordinary of Corsica, where one proposed to subject oneself to France, a speech pronounced which ignited all the spirits: “ So to be free it only acted to want it, said it, all the people would be it; however the history teaches us that little arrived at the benefit of freedom, because little had courage, energy and the virtues necessary. ”
He died in Montpellier, where causes of health had led it, and was buried in one of caveaux PP. Cordeliers. He had been appointed by the nobility of Corsica near the king of France.
