Charles Beauquier

Charles Beauquier , Politician French, (1833 - 1916).

Lawyer, man of letters and appointed of Doubs of 1880 with 1914, it was one of the founders of the Company for the protection of the landscapes and the esthetics of France, from which he was the second president of 1901 to 1915, succeeding Sully Prudhomme.

Following the lawsuit concerning the source of the Lison, it made vote on April 21st 1906 the first law of environmental protection, known as law Beauquier.
