Charles Autrand

Born with Algiers in 1918, Charles Autrand is a French writer and poet.

Biography

Poet, novelist, essay writer, Charles Autrand are especially known for his activities of revuist. In nineteen years, it published its first collection of poems " Enchères" and the following year, with Max-pol. Fouchet, it founded in Algiers its first poetic review, " Mithra" who, as of number 3, changed name to become the review " Fontaine".

During the German occupation, it founded the review " Time perdu" , entirely made up with the hand, of which " Books of Sud" spoke in praise in 1942.

Continuing a career of advertizing executive, it will still found, in 1947, " Back and the endroit" , review which granted a great place to literary criticism. Charles Autrand, rare poet, near to the " Friends of Rochefort " and of the authors of " The Tower of feu" , in 1976 is deceased.
