Charles Armengaud
Charles Armengaud is a Engineer French, born the July 27th 1813 with Ostend (Belgium) and deceased the April 21st 1893 with Paris. He was the younger brother of Jacques Armengaud, also engineer.
Biography
Sons of Alexis Armengaud, officer of the genious, and Wild Madeleine, Charles Armengaud studied at the technical school of Châlons (Marne), of which it left first of promotion 1833. He worked some time in a Filature of Haguenau (the Low-Rhine), then followed to the Conservatoire of arts and trades of Paris the courses of Technical design of Leblanc.With his Jacques older brother, it founded the first cabinet of consulting engineer for the protection of the rights of the inventors. Together, they published, in 1839, the industry of the railroads , whose Jacques wrote the text and Charles drew the plans. The work included/understood a description of the machines used in the Railroads in France, Belgium and Germany; these machines then were often imported England.

Of 1851 with 1871, Charles Armengaud directed with his Eugene brother the monthly review the Industrial engineering , which was presented in the form of a review of the French and foreign inventions. In addition to information on the industry and advances in knowledge, the review tackled the commercial questions, jurisprudence and the industrial property. Regretting the lack of support met by this kind of publication in France the Armengaud brothers reflect fine with his publication.
Charles Armengaud was knight of the Légion of honor. He was city council man of Neuilly.
