Charles Albert de Moré de Pontgibaud

Charles Albert de Moré de Pontgibaud , count de Moré-Chaulnes, born the April 21st 1758 with Clermont-Ferrand and deceased in 1837, was a French soldier.

He accompanied Fayette at the time of the Guerre by independence of the United States. He was volunteer in the rows of the Americans, and was the aide-de-camp of Fayette. Emigrated from France with Hamburg in 1793, having learned that the American Congrès paid the arrérage of balance due to the officers who had been with his service, it turned over to the the United States about this time.
