Charles-helium nucleus of Barbançois-Villegongis

The marquis' Charles-Helium nucleus of Barbançois-Villegongis' , born the August 17th 1760 with Villegongis (Indre) and dead the March 17th 1822, is a French agronomist having introduced the ram Mérinos in France and having designed a new model of Charrue.

After a career in the infantry, monopolized by the management and the enlarging of its field, it was led to imply itself deeply in the world of agriculture. In 1801, President-founder of the Free society of Agriculture, Trades and Arts of Indre, become very quickly Société of agriculture of Indre, it appeared an agronomist qualified, anxious to make progress the agricultural techniques and to raise the level of knowledge of the landowners of its time, but also of those which cultivated the ground directly. He was also member of the royal Company of agriculture of Paris.
