Charles-Xavier Franqueville d\' Abancourt
Charles-Xavier Joseph Franqueville d' Abancourt was born with Douai on July 4th, 1758 and killed with Versailles on September 9th, 1792. He was Minister for the war of Louis XVI under the French revolution.
Named minister the July 23rd 1792, it fulfills its functions only during 19 days, with the end of which it was issued of charge the August 10th and was sent in front of the High court established to Orleans. During its transfer to Paris with 51 other prisoners to be judged by the revolutionary Tribunal, he was massacred the September 9th 1792 with 43 of these prisoners of which also made part Louis Hercules Timoléon of Thimble-Brissac, commander-in-chief of the constitutional Garde of the King Louis XVI and Claude Antoine de Valdec de Lessart, old Minister of Interior Department then Foreign affairs (in 1791).
D' Abancourt was the nephew of the famous general inspector of finances Charles Alexandre de Calonne.
