Born with Rouen, CH. - V. Langlois passes by the École of the Charters and obtains the doctorate of Histoire in 1887. He is professor with Douai, then in the Sorbonne. Historian specialist in the Middle Ages, he is director of the Archives of 1913 to 1929.
