Charles-Louis Richard

Charles-Louis Richard (1711-1794) was a Dominicain, a Théologien and Publiciste.

Born with Blainville-on-the Water (Meurthe-et-Moselle), it was accepted doctor in Sorbonne and prècha then the defense of the religion against the ideas of the Encyclopédistes. Having refused the constitutional oath, it emigrated with Mons in Belgium, but could not flee because of its age the advance of the French troops.

It was stopped and shot by the French in Mons in 1794, to have published a writing entitled: Parallel of the Jews which crucifié Jesus-Christ with the French who killed their king .

  • a Analyzes of the general and particular councils , (Paris, 1772-1777);
  • a Essay on the possession of the body and the infestation of the houses by the demons .
