Charles-Gustave Stoskopf
Charles-Gustave Stoskopf is a French architect born with Brumath on September 2nd 1907 and deceased with Paris on January 22nd 2004. Price of Rome, it especially exerted as a town planner in his native area, Alsace, and in Paris region.
Biography
Born in the town of Brumath, he is the son of Gustave Stoskopf, regionalistic artist and one of the founders of the Alsatian Théâtre. After studies with the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the Art schools within the workshop of Emmanuel Pontremoli and Jacques Debate-Ponsan, he is prize winner of the first large Prix of Rome in 1933.
Architect as a chief of the civil buildings and national palates, it is in charge after the Second world war of many rebuilding works in Alsace. Consulting architect of the State in 1949 by Claudius-Small Eugene for the area Alsace, it in addition becomes one of the project superintendents privileged for the realization of great units of SCIC in Paris region. He takes part in the urban expansion of Strasbourg as a town planner with the building sites of the place of the iron Man, the Esplanade, Canardière and Neuhof. He is in addition town planner as a chief of ZUP of Colmar and architect in load of the reorganization of Belfort between 1955 and 1967 then between 1970 and 1979.
He is principal of architecture of Strasbourg of 1949 to 1967. He continues in parallel an activity of draftsman and writer, in the prolongation of the work of his father.

- 1948-1949: Projects of installation and rebuilding of Montier-in-DER, Mittelwihr, Bennwihr, Ammerschwihr, Sigolsheim, Danjoutin
- 1952: city HLM of the quay of the Belgians with Strasbourg (250 residences)
- 1954-1957: restoration of the church of Jebsheim
- 1956: corn exchange known as Koïfhus, town hall with Ammerschwihr
- 1956: enlarging of the parish church Saint-Nazaire-and-Celse Brumath
- 1956-1958: Installation of " Simca - ville" , current Beauregard district with Poissy, like with Vernouillet and with the Mureaux on behalf of SCIC (2200 residences)
- 1957-1968: great whole of the Mount-Mesly with Creteil (the Valley-of-Marne) on behalf of SCIC (6000 residences, 20.000 residences)
- 1958: city of the Bridge of Pierre with Bobigny
- 1959: residential buildings to Vernouillet (Yvelines) (730 residences on behalf of SCIC).
- 1959: Residence " The Farm of Buis" , commune of Valentigney
- 1959-1960: Protesting temple and vault Holy-Brigitte of Mittelwihr
- 1960-1962: parish church Saint-Louis of Poissy - Beauregard
- 1961-1966: residential buildings to Obernai (96 residences)
- 1966-1967: residential buildings to the small island of the " Dentsche" with Mulhouse (523 residences)
- 1967: church of All-the-Saint to Bobigny
- 1969: vault of Floréal with Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis)
- 1972: Montaigut district with Creteil
- 1978: Notre-Dame church of Creteil (become since cathedral)
