Charles-François Brisseau de Mirbel

Charles François Brisseau de Mirbel , born the March 27th 1776 with Paris and dead the September 12th 1854 with Champerret, is a Botaniste and politician French.

At 20 years, he becomes assistance-naturalist with the national Muséum of natural history.

He publishes in 1802, important a Traité anatomy and of physiology vegetable which makes it regard as the father of cytology and vegetable physiology.

In 1803, it obtains the post of intendant of the gardens of the Château of Malmaison. Its publications are worth to him, in 1808, to enter to the Academy of Science and the pulpit of botany of the Sorbonne.

With the Restoration, his/her friend Élie Decazes, then Minister of Interior Department, a position of secretary general offers to him. But the fall of the government in 1829, mark the end of its ambitions policy and it finds a pulpit with the Natural history museum.
