Charles-Antoine Leclerc of Bruère

Charles-Antoine Leclerc of Bruère is a dramatic author and French historian born with Crépy-in-Valois in 1714 and died in Rome the September 18th 1754.
It is especially known as author of the booklet of the lyric Tragédie Dardanus of Jean-Philippe Rameau. The booklet was generally regarded as one of worst which was put in music by this one. It amalgamates mythological elements of second plan and reminiscences of the epopees of the rebirth Italian in an action of a consumed improbability: the screen had to be modified about it on several occasions in order to counter many criticisms.
Biography
With Louis Fuzelier (another librettist of Branch), it was, of November 1744 at June 1748, director of the Mercure de France by royal patent.In 1749, it left to Rome as embassy secretary near the duke Resident of Nevers.
