Charlene Wittstock

Charlene Wittstock , born the January 25th 1978 with Benoni (South Africa), is a South-African swimmer of Dos-crawlé to the results in teeth of saw.

Biography

  • at 15 years gains the championships juniors of South Africa.
  • at 16 years, gives up its studies, then represents its country with the Olympic Games of Sydney, in backstroke.
  • International Meeting of swimming of Monaco in 2000 - Gold medal of the 200m back (where it meets for the first time Albert II de Monaco which chairs the meeting).
  • Its old connections: the Swedish swimmer Lars Frölander, the British Robin Francis, and, of 2002 to 2003, the South-African rugby player Andre Snyman (the rupture of their relation will involve it towards the depression).
  • In 2006, is shown, for the first time, in company of the prince Albert II de Monaco at the time of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics of 2006 of Turin in Italy. Since 2006, it attends the sides of the prince to all the great events of the principality, like the Ball of the Red Cross or the Grand Prix of Formula 1. The couple is not however promised in marriage. Charlene currently prepares to take part in the Olympic Games of Beijing in 2008 and much of observers think that a marriage will take place after these plays.
  • At the time of the world cup of Rugby 2007 in France, it attended many matches in company of the prince Albert II, in particular those of the Springboks, whose his/her grandfather was the trainer.
