Charge with color

In Physical of the particles, the load of color is a property of the Quark S and Gluon S which have their clean strong Interaction in the context of the quantum Chromodynamique. There is an analogy with the electric concept of Charge of the particles, but there are many technical differences. The " couleur" quarks and let us gluons has nothing to do with the visual perception of the colors, but it is the name coloured for a property which does not have almost any demonstration beyond the atomic nucleus.

Shortly after the discovery of the existence of the quarks in 1964, one introduced the concept of load of color to explain how the quarks could coexist in the high-energy particles in " states differently identiques" and to continue to satisfy the Principle of exclusion of Pauli. The concept proved to be useful. The chromodynamic quantum one developed since the years 1970 and constitutes an important part of the standard model in physics of the particles.

Red, Blue and Green

One can say that a color of quark can take 3 values: red, green or blue and that a antiquark can take 3 anticouleurs: antirouge, antibleu and antivert (often represented in cyan, magenta and yellow). Same manner, one can say that gluons them are a mixture of 2 colors: for example red-antivert and they constitute their loads of color. It is considered that there exist 8 gluons, and a ninth which disappears. That means that for particular combination: (red-antirouge) + (green-antivert) + (blue-antibleu), the gluon correspondent is without color and does not have to be taken into account any more.
