Main characters

Shirō Emiya

Shirō Emiya () is the main character of the history. High-school pupil of second year, raises serious and obliging, it also has a talent which it holds secret: it can use a kind of magic to repair the objects, in made it sees the internal structure of the objects and knows what and where to repair. Its incantation is slightly different from that of this one. This power comes to him from a specificity enabling him not to have to create and maintain the matter but while creating the part from itself. In the scenario Heaven' S Feel, Shirō is made graft one of the arms of Archer (Right before the death of this one), and manages to recreate powerful weapons like Rule Breaker , the Jeweled Sword off Zelretch or Excalibur .

In the Fate scenario and animates it, it chooses to preserve its ideal and loses its amour.
In the scenario Unlimited Blade Works and the manga, it accepts its imperfection and is comforted at Rin.
In the scenario Heaven' S Feel (exclusive with the play), it gives up its ideal and takes care of the happiness of Sakura.

Rin Tōsaka

Raise model and idol of the school of Shirō, Rin Tōsaka () guard secrecy its talents of magician. Downward of a long line of wizard, it could not profit from the training usual of its family, her father having been killed during the preceding war of Graal. In the three scenarios, Rin is put in team with Shirō and is Master d' Archer. In all the cases, it takes part in the war not for exaucer a wish but with a single aim of gaining.

In Fate , it saves Shirō, raises its class and collateral victim of its confrontation against Lancer. It is combined then with him, helping it several times whereas he almost died and will go until sacrificing Archer by sending it to fight against Berserker.
In Unlimited Blade Works , it is the heroin of the scenario and is in love with Shirō, which will give up part of its dream for elle.
In Heaven' S Feel , it obtains gràce with Shirō off the Jeweled Sword Zelretch gràce to which it manages to overcome Sakura Matō.
In Fate/hollow ataraxia , it obtains Kaleidostick, which transforms it into Magical girl .

Archer is Shiro, income of the future after having passed a pact aiming to the realization partial of his dreams.

Saber

Saber (セイバー, seiba ) is Being used it as Shirō. It is an young woman (very young person, in the manga), epeist of very high level, very honest, not very loquacious but independent of spirit. Of cold appearance but obviously not of ice internally, she regards the almost suicidal behavior and all at the same time too defensive Shirō as harming the good success of their goal common (although to different ends), obtaining Graal.

Saber is regarded as the armed wing of Shirō, but with its great dissatisfaction, this one does not want to preserve its life and always prevents it from filling what it estimates to be its role. Moreover, this one especially wishes to prevent all victims, which involves a very wait and see position of its share; it does not launch attacks against the other Masters. On the contrary, it tends to be made allies of them, which, in optics to gain Graal, and thus to be the last, poses some problems. In fact, Saber goes until disobeying Shirō by attacking the temple of its own will, then while holding to kill an enemy, Shirō then using with its greater surprise one of its seals of command.

This one seems however to be let allure by Shirō, first nobody to regard it as woman. A contrario , it pushes back violently Gilgamesh, undoubtedly too presumptuous.

Noble Phantasms

Invisible Air: the barrier of the King of the Wind

the traditional weapon of Saber is an invisible sword (masked by the fate Barrier off the Wind King , to hide its identity). This fate consists to compress and make whirl the air around the blade of Saber. Such a circulation of the wind deforms the refraction of the light, inducing an illusion of invisibility. This property prevents the adversary from effectively avoiding the attacks of Saber, because it cannot distinguish the length or the width of the blade. Moreover, the pressurized air can be used in the shape of powerful gusts of wind. Although it is rather useful fights some, the original intention of this barrier is to protect the identity from Saber, because its true Noble Phantasm is easily recognizable.

Excalibur: the Sword of the Promised Victoire

This weapon, in addition to its extraordinary durability, is also its first Noble Phantasm, Sword off Promised Victory , able to project a very powerful beam of energy. It is a celestial sword, to create by the World starting from the many wishes of humanity and it is fed thanks to the conversion of Mana into photoelectric energy. Avalon: Remote Utopia

Its more powerful Noble Phantasm remains Avalon: The Ever Distant Utopia , its formerly catch sleeve, which forms an invulnerable shield and regenerates the energy of the carrier, making Saber quasi-invincible. When it is activated like Noble Phantasm, Avalon dissipates touts the damage and immerses its user in a place of peace, it is truly a " fortress portable". Avalon transcends the most advanced fates, and is comparable with the " véritable" magic. The name Avalon is an allusion to a legendary island of the English Folklore, more known as being the last residence of the King Arthur.

True Identity

Saber, owner of Excalibur and Avalon, is not other than Arturia Pendragon, otherwise known under the name of King Arthur or the king of the knights (by hiding its sex). Selected to have torn off the sword of the stone, she devoted herself to her people and fought for him as much as her been able. But its people not seeing it aging (because of Avalon) and always seeing it marble (to protect itself) considered that it could not include/understand them and her son, Mordred, concealed Avalon to him before the Bataille of Camlann. Persuaded to have been a bad king, she wished that another king be selected at the time of the selection, died while asking Bedivere to throw Excalibur in a lake. She thus wishes Graal to retrogress, at the time of the selection, and that this one occurs differently. However, Shirō, in Fate, manages to render comprehensible to him that it should not be looked at behind, that has was used as force for the present, that he should not anything be regretted and that it is necessary to think of tomorrow.

Role

In Fate, Saber destroys Graal and disappears, after having to acknowledge its love with Shirō.
In Unlimited Blade Works, Saber destroys Graal and survit.
In Heaven' S Feel, Saber is corrupted by one Being useful and becomes Black Saber. It is killed by Shirō.

Comparison enters the legend and Fate/stay night

It is first of all advisable to note that there exist many different legends on the subject.

the King was a man, married to Guenièvre (which was not the mother of Mordred).
Bedivere was a man.
Avalon was an island, not a sleeve.

To wrinkle

To wrinkle (ライダー Raidā), being used it as Shinji, is met for the first time at Homurabara Gakuen. To wrinkle is quiet, sensual, and always on the alert, never not hesitating to be used as shield in its Master. Since Shinji is unable to feed it in Mana, it is forced to employ alternative solutions to increase its capacities. To compensate for its low physical capacities, Rider employs various tactics of " guérilla" and car always favors surrounding ground. Its weapon of predilection is a pair of long studded steel chains enabling him to attack its remote adversary.

At the beginning, Master To wrinkle was to be Sakura Matō; nevertheless, it becomes Being used it as Shinji when Sakura, under the Shinji pressure, grants its right of Master and its fates of order to him. To wrinkle does not have any affection for Shinji, and sees it like a cheap being, but it obeyed its orders like any other Being useful. Because of their last similar, it has empathy for Sakura, and tries to protect it from best than it can it. As some of Being useful which take part in the 5° Guerre of the Graal Saint, Rider no saw on the crowned relic.

Noble Phantasms

the Fortress of Blood of Andromède: External Seal. The Temple of Blood

By using its own blood like main component, Rider is able to create a gigantic dome crimson around its enemy. The victims trapped in this space dissolve in a heap of blood and bodies, which are then absorbed by Rider in the form of Mana. Although such Noble Phantasm is effective to prevent the flying adversaries from fleeing, its function first is to accumulate of Mana. The use of this Noble Phantasm damages the circulation of Mana in all the surrounding zone, limiting its use in a restricted surface. Andromède is the name of a princess who Maria with Persée, a son of Zeus and the killer of Méduse.

the visor that Rider door over its Mystical Eyes (Quebeley) is Noble Phantasm, it is conceived to control the capacity emitted by its glance. The visor functions by sealing the eyes of the user inside a parallel world. The potential of this capacity is so enormous that the petrification takes place with the least glance carried in its eyes. This Noble Phantasm is inspired by the Gorgones, three sadistic creatures of Greek Mythology.

Bellerophon : the Support of the Knighthood

a harness and a gilded saddle, usable only when Rider assembles PEGASE, the mythical winged horse. Used in conjunction with Bellerophon , all the attributes of PEGASE increase by a row. The jolts of the wings of PEGASE are able to generate shock waves being able to shave buildings and to lacerate the body of the living beings. The control of a legendary animal is regarded as being able to compete with most powerful Noble Phantasms, and is done independently of Bellerophon . The name of this Noble Phantasm is a reference to Bellérophon, a young prince who mounted PEGASE and killed the Chimère.

True Identity

Its true name is Méduse, Gorgone of Greek Mythology. Jellyfish, like his/her sisters, Stheno and Euryale, were born from the wishes of humanity to have ideal goddesses, contrasting with the defects of the gods of Olympe. The three Gorgones were extremely beautiful, but contrary to his/her sisters, Meduse was mortal, and thus was intended to grow and age as time passes. Jellyfish also had Mystical Eyes, which transformed the beings of pulpit crossing its glance into stone, obliging it to carry a stringcourse on the eyes. Because of these differences, it was driven out by her sisters. Jellyfish also gave its PEGASE in gift to Poseidon.

Berserker

Berserker (バーサーカー Bāsākā), is Being used it as Ilya, this one with the appearance of a giant to the steel skin and the imposing musculature. It uses a gigantic stone sword, and the by-effects of its swingings are able to cause very extensive damage. As Berserker, the words " raison" and " réflexion" are striped of its vocabulary, it acts in an instinctive and bestial way. Berserkers are famous to belong to the more " puissante" classify Being useful, although they are difficult to control and that they tend to be turned over against their Master. Ilya also seems to have some difficulties of controlling it.

Assassin

It is about a real and nonmythological character. It is Sasaki Kojiro, of the Mori clan, famous for his famous long saber (O-dachi). Musashi Miyamoto (the largest samurai of all times) will consider it, after having overcome it in April 1612, as being the expert swordsman which it ever fought.

True Assassin

It would be about Hassan ibn Al-Sabbah, big boss of a sect of Ismaëlienne assassins of XIe century. It was known for its great cruelty, it would have killed its two sons of which one to have drunk wine.

Gilgamesh
