Charès
Charès is an Athenian general of the 4th century before the Christian era. It directs the Athenian troops at the time of the war which the city attic carries out against its allies between -357/-355. It supports then the Satrape Artabaze which in -356 had revolted against Artaxerxès III. It turns over to Athens towards -345 after the back in favor of Artabaze and combat then Philippe II of Macedonia. Beaten to Chéronée, in a decisive battle for the future of the Greece it passes to the service of the king Perses Darius III. Considered for its courage and its bravery it was it also for its rapacity and its cupidity. One is unaware of the exact date of his death, but probably front -324.
