Donatella Versace was born with Reggio di Calabria, in Italy, 1955.
Large Dressmaker, it is the sister of the fashion designer Gianni Versace, founder of the Milanese designers house which bears the surname.
Donatella Versace assisted very early his/her Gianni brother in his work of creation. Very related to him, it contributed by its charisma and its personality to the blazing character of Versace creations. With the beginning of the year 1990, Donatella Versace became personally responsible for the creation of the line Versus, one of the labels of the Versace house.
After the assassination of Gianni Versace in 1997 in front of its house of Miami Beach, Donatella became the creative one of the whole of the Versace lines. Its current creations, although registered in the continuity of the spirit and esthetics rested by his/her Gianni brother, are partly the reflection - for the female fashion - of its own femininity. As much as creative, it is also personally, like the alive one of her brother, one of the emblems of the Versace house.
The girl of Donatella, Allegra Versace, celebrated her majority in June 2004: she then became the heiress of the designers house.
