Chanteloup-the-Vines
Chanteloup-the-Vines is a common French, located in the department of the Yvelines and the area Île-de-France.
Its inhabitants is called Chantelouvais.
Geography
It is served by a Gare ('' Chanteloup-the-Vines '') of the line Paris - Mantes by Conflans ().Top of the east city bordered by the forest of Hautil which also extends on the communes from Triel On the Seine, Andrésy, Boisemont. It has been prohibited to the walkers for several years because of the presence of many underground careers, formerly exploited for the extraction of the gypsum. By going up the coast of Chanteloup, Street Paul Méyan, one can see several entries of old houses (destroyed since several years), prohibited access. Also let us note that since about fifteen years, more or less important subsidences appear at the day in certain parts of the city (Street of the Chapter in particular). A person even disappeared in 1991 and found forever.

It is with Chanteloup-the-Vines in the city Noah that was turned part of the film the Hatred of Mathieu Kassovitz.
The first hill climb of the world proceeded on the slopes of Chanteloup on November 27th, 1898. It was oragnisée by Paul Méyan, Directeur of " France automobile". The current street name bears its name. A small monument is visible in top on the side.
