Canal D is a televised chain Québécois diffusing the documentary ones on the criminalistic , the investigations, the social phenomena, the stars Hollywood, the Québécois personalities, the sports, the biographies, the sciences as well as the Humor. The chain put in waves on January 1st 1995 is the property of Astral Media.

Channel D HD
The October 30th 2006, the chain Channel D like six other chains of the group Astral Media, Channel Life, Historia, Séries+, Ztélé, VRAK.TV and Super Screen, launched their programming in High-definition. According to Astral Media, more than 30% of the programming is available in HD. For subscribed television HD, Canal D HD is diffused to the 859 on Bell ExpressVu, to the 636 on illico tele numerical and to the 514 on Cogeco.
