Canal Congo Télévision (CCTV) is a Television channel private commercial general practitioner Congolese diffused since Kinshasa.

History of the chain

Monday, September 18 2006, a fire destroyed the studios of the television channels Canal Kin Télévision and Canal Congo television, pertaining to Jean-Pierre Bemba. For its party, the MLC, it is a “attack”. Stephan Kitutu O' Leontwa, managing director of the chain Channel Congo television (CCTV) and Channel Kin television (CKTV) was burned with the third degree.

Canal Congo television ceased emitting on October 29th, at the evening of the poll of the second turn of the presidential election whose Jean-Pierre Bemba is candidate, causing interrogations on the origin of the breakdowns, the Bemba camp implying that the Kabila camp was not foreign there. The chain belongs to the family Bemba Saolona whose father was Minister for the Economy in the government of Laurent-Desired Kabila and the son, Jean-Pierre Bemba, is chief of the rebel movement (Movement for the release of Congo, MLC) and principal opponent with the president Joseph Kabila.
