On a Boat, a channel or channel of bridge is part of bent pipe being used as conduit of flow between the bridge of a ship and its hull.
The channel with the same function as the port of discharge which him is in the bulwark: to evacuate the Sea water which could accumulate on the bridge and make lose part of its stability to the ship.
In civil engineering, the channel indicates a small element of Caniveau or a small buried semi hydraulic work.
