Changchun (长春; Pinyin: Chángchūn) is the capital of the province Jilin in China. It has the administrative statute of under-provincial city. Its population is of more than seven million inhabitants.

It was the site of a walk of the opposition to spring 1989. It is with 43° 54 ' and 125° 12 '. One speaks the dialect there about Changchun of the group of the North-East of the Mandarin. It was capital Mandchoukouo of 1931 with 1945.

Climate

The average temperatures of Changchun go from -16,2°C for the coldest month to +23,4°C for the hottest month, with an annual average of +5°C (figures stopped in 1990), and the Pluviométrie is there of 613,4  mm (figures stopped in 1988).

Economy

In 2004, total GDP was of 153,5 billion Yuan S, and the GDP per capita of: 21285 yuans.

Changchun has an airport (code AITA: CGQ).

Twinnings

The mayor of Changchun, Mr. Cui Jie, inaugurated in Montreuil, on August 27th, 2007, a statue of the sculptor Wang Keqing. This statue out of bronze and tin, a 3,06 m height, is entitled the calligrapher Fu Mi .

The under-provincial city of Changchun exerts its jurisdiction on ten subdivisions - six districts, three city-counties and a county  :

• the district of Chaoyang - 朝阳区 Cháoyáng Qū   ;
• the district of Kuancheng - 宽城区 Kuānchéng Qū   ;
• the district of Erdao - 二道区 Èrdào Qū   ;
• the district of Nanguan - 南关区 Nánguān Qū   ;
• the district of Luyuan - 绿园区 Lǜyuán Qū   ;
• the district of Shuangyang - 双阳区 Shuāngyáng Qū   ;
• the town of Jiutai - 九台市 Jiǔtái Shì   ;
• the town of Yushu - 榆树市 Yúshù Shì   ;
• the town of Dehui - 德惠市 Déhuì Shì   ;
• the county of Nong' year - 农安县 Nóng' ān Xiàn .
