Chanel One
Chanel One is first of all a sound system jamaïcain of the beginning of the year 1970.
Chanel One becomes then a studio of recording created by OJ OJ Hoo Kim and her brothers in 1972 to the 29 of the Maxfield avenue. The studio will remain active until 1988, in spite of the withdrawal of the production of the family Hoo Kim. It becomes the studio of reference of the years 1970 continuation after the success of Right Time of the Mighty Diamonds and especially with the perfect sound tracked during months by the brothers. Many producers will come to record there, of Augustus Pablo with Vivian “Yabby You” Jackson while passing by Niney, Jack Ruby, Prince Jammy or Bunny Lee. It is also about a musical label also directed by the family Hoo Kim. It published albums between 1976 and 1984.
