Chandrakirti
Indian philosopher Madhyamika of VIIe century. Criticizing the positive use of the Dialectical initiated by Bhavaviveka, Chandrakirti operated a return to Nagarjuna and its refutative method. Heir to Buddhapālita, it tried to show that one should not interpret the madhyamika according to the idealistic system Cittamatra (which was essential meanwhile), not more than according to the autonomous system (svatantrika) which is inspired some, but that one must stick to the method of the consequentialists (prasangika) with the number of which it is necessary to count Nagarjuna and its disciple Aryadeva.
