Charles Chevillet , sior of Champmeslé , born and baptized the October 20th 1642 with Paris where he died the August 22nd 1701, is a Acteur and Dramaturge French.
Champmeslé begins with the theater in 1665, in a troop of countryside, and marries with Rouen Marie Desmares on January 9th 1666. He plays then Théâtre of the Marsh then to the Hôtel of Burgundy and becomes one of the first Members of the Comédie-Française.
With his death, which has occurred while leaving a cabaret, the priest of Saint-Sulpice refuses the funeral service and Champmeslé is buried in the garden of its house of Asnières.
Champmeslé is also the author of ten plays, of which some in collaboration with the Fountain.
It composed several comedies like:
- the Grisettes ;
- Crispin knight ;
- the Florentin ;
- magic Cut ; he made these two last in company with Jean of the Fountain.
Its Œuvres was joined together in 1696.
